BBQ Day

We are going to a BBQ today so I am baking Tollhouse cookies at the moment. Everyone over here thinks that they are the most amazing thing and that I am the most AMAZING baker when I make them. They don't realize that we have all been baking off of the same recipe on the back of the Nestle's bag of choc chips our whole lives. They don't even have Nestle Choc chips over here. I have just finished off the last of the ones my sister sent at Christmas. I will have to wait until December to get more unless I can get someone to send me some for no reason.

I had a great session at the studio yesterday and the Gracie painting is almost finished. I need to get a good photo of it for the blog. I wish I could sneak away and work on it some more today as the BBQ is just around the corner from the studio, but folks would think I was rude. Tomorrow is a holiday so I will probably get over in the afternoon. I hope I am not too hung over from the BBQ as it will probably go until the wee hours.

The pic today is a chilli truck from Bali. I took the photo from the car behind so it isn't great quality but I like the look of it.

About Me

My photo
I am an American married to a Brit and living in London. I have a 28 year old son who is living in Southern California and trying to decide what to do with his life. He's lovely! I have a 13 1/2 year old poodle with a degenerative muscle thing and I am constantly worried about when and how it will all end for her... I also have 2 mini daschunds (mum and daughter) and thats nice! Oh, and then there's the cat...I teach at a local art college and I have a studio where I paint. I also do sculpture and various other art things. I love to try new things and lately, I am into felting. I love living in South London (Wandsworth) and I have never been happier. There are so many green spaces and I love to go walking with dogs and friends. I am lucky because I can do exactly what I want in my art without having to worry about being commercial, however, it's nice to be recognized for what you are trying to do. Well, that's enough about me for now...
